Though Drake and Pluto have solid cases in their own right, we unexpectedly step into the film realm for this week’s biggest winner: Netflix’s animated K-Pop Demon Hunters. A success story for the media giant almost instantaneously, the musical feature now sees the benefits of an extremely catchy, well-crafted original soundtrack, bearing out with #42, #59, #62, #73, and #88 on our charts (“Your Idol,” “Golden,” “Free,” “How It Done,” and “Soda Pop,” respectively.) Perhaps most intriguingly, these results come during the third week of eligibility for the record, indicating real ear-worm qualities to each of these breakout singles, something no doubt in the mind of Netflix execs as they plot the future of the budding franchise.
PLUTO And “Pull Yo Skirt Up” Make The ATL Rapper One To Watch
PLUTO first came across our radar, and likely most of yours, with “WHIM WHAMIEE,” a collab effort with YKNIECE that caught social media traction and rode it to become one of the real out-of-nowhere breakout hits of early 2025. Yet if you counted out the 21-year-old Atlanta native as a one-hit wonder, she’s quickly proved you wrong. “Pull Yo Skirt Up” has been making waves for PLUTO on our rankings for some months, but it crested this week at #80, executing a slow burn commercial rise helped in part by a viral dance trend started by food reviewer / influencer extraordinaire Keith Lee. Now boasting a Motown Records deal and an ongoing opening spot with Lil Baby, doubt PLUTO at your own risk — she seems like she’ll be a name to watch for some time.
