Double Festival Feature Coming to Arizona: Innings & Extra Innings Music Festivals

Tempe, Arizona, is about to have back-to-back weekends of music festivities with the Innings Music Festival PLUS Extra Innings Fest!

Innings Music Festival 2024 Recap

This past weekend (February 23rd-24th), Arizonians welcomed headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers plus Hozier on the two-day Innings Music Festival. Both were supported by an arsenal of strong musicians and bands that played throughout each day of the fest. Friday featured Greta Van Fleet and Matt and Kim, plus throwback pop-punk band Jimmy Eat World. Moreover, Saturday flaunted the likes of Macklemore and Young the Giant, with the addition of ’90s alt-rock band Third Eye Blind.

Most notably, Innings Festival had to live up to its name with the appearance of several baseball players. Inspired by the iconic American sport, Innings had an “Off The Mound Special” with guests Matt Kemp of the Los Angeles Dodgers, former Cubs/Diamondbacks player Mark Grace, and 19-season baseball legend Luis Gonzalez. The fest also offered many baseball-centric activities, from panels with players to batting cages and pitching competitions. If you’re a fan of baseball and music, then we’d definitely recommend Innings when it rolls back around next year!

For weekend one in Arizona, Innings set the bar incredibly high for next weekend at Extra Innings.

Extra Innings Music Festival

One weekend of music is just not enough for Tempe, Arizona. The sequel to Innings Fest, obviously dubbed Extra Innings, is coming back this upcoming weekend (March 2nd and 3rd) with even more exciting artists. Leaning away from the indie/alt music and more into the countryside, Extra Innings fills in the blanks where the first part of the festival series lacked.

Catch Chris Stapleton and Dave Matthews Band playing in Beach Park and Arts Park. You’ll also find Noah Kahan, Turnpike Troubadours and the Gin Blossoms rocking out on the stage. This weekend’s panel of baseball stars differs from last, with appearances by Ryan Braun (Milwaukee Brewers), Andre Ethier (Los Angeles Dodgers), coach/player Tim Raines and so many more.
