Chiiild Recruits Jensen McRae For “Gone” Remix

Chiiild recruited singer-songwriter Jensen McRae for a remix version of their hit single “Gone,” released earlier this year.

Chiiild and Jensen’s Vocals Sound Beautiful Together

The new remix adds Jensen’s soothing vocals into the mix, making the “Gone” remix an upbeat but chill song. Telling a lost love story, both artists get together to share their own points of view. Jensen opens up the first verse, just before the pair’s vocals get together in the orchestral chorus. “I know that it can hurt sometimes, I bet. When all the words don’t come out right, it happens. And maybe we can learn from times like this and they can be gone.”

Speaking about the collaboration, Chiiild shares, “‘Gone’ featuring Jensen is a reminder that there are always two sides to every story”.

Jensen continues, “I was so excited when I got connected with Chiiild for this collab. He has such a special, rich voice and his music exists at the nexus of multiple genres I love. As soon as I heard the first version of ‘Gone,’ I had so many ideas—the themes of miscommunication and emotional distance are things that I think a lot of people can relate to but don’t want to admit it. It was such a thrill to hear it all come together. I don’t have any music by myself that sounds like this and I can’t wait for people to dive into it—it’s a perfect song for the summer.”

2021 Has Been Busy for Chiiild

Back in April, Chiiild released the original version of “Gone,” alongside a visual directed by Zac Wolf. On the meaning behind the song, Chiiild explains, “It’s hard enough to find the words. ‘Gone’ is a song about the simple misunderstandings that come up when you least see them coming.”

Chiiild has been staying busy this year. The new remix of “Gone” marks their fifth single release of 2021, showing that ever since they dropped their debut mini-album Synthetic Soul last year, music is their main focus.
