Blink-182 Reunite For “EDGING” & World Tour

The lineup of Blink-182 members that fans have grown to support and love is back together. After 10 years since their last song together, Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus, and Tom DeLonge are reuniting for the new Blink-182 song “EDGING” and a massive world tour.

Tom DeLonge is Back After Seven Years

Well, isn’t it a great day for Blink-182 fans? The reunion is something that many were hoping for a very long time, so I’m glad it’s finally happening. It had been 10 long years since Tom worked with the band on their last song! That’s right, even though he parted ways with the group in 2015, their last album before then was 2012’s Dogs Eating Dogs. Before that, they released their 2011 album Neighborhoods.

Since then, they brought in a new guitarist to take Tom’s place – Matt Skiba. He worked on Blink-182’s projects from 2016 to 2020 like their albums California, NINE, and singles “What’s My Age Again/A Milli,” “Let Me Down,” and “Quarantine.” But now that Tom is back, Matt is unfortunately out. We will miss you, Matt, but welcome back, Tom!

“EDGING” is Punk Rock Done Right

“EDGING” offers a little bit of nostalgia, as it reminds us of the old Blink-182 sound. It’s punk rock done right, where we can clearly hear the drums, the guitar, and the bass all uniting for a classic melody.

The new song was written entirely by the trio and produced by Travis Barker. “I wanted to imagine as a listener what I wanted to experience and at the same time as a band member what we wanted to make and say and most importantly how it would sound production-wise in 2022,” he said.

Blink-182’s comeback arrives a year after Mark Hoppus was diagnosed with 4-A diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. But thankfully, the bassist revealed to fans in September that he was cancer-free and looking toward his future with Blink-182. “I keep writing music, and I’m open to whatever the next phase of Blink is. I’m hopeful for the future. I’m just damn glad to be here,” he shared.

Blink-182 Are Celebrating With a Massive World Tour

Along with the great news of a new single and reunion, Blink-182 is heading on a massive world tour to celebrate. The tour will start in March 2023 in Tijuana, Mexico, making its way through South America, North America, the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, ending in 2024. Talk about a big celebration!
