Did Artic Monkey really just announce a new album, The Car?
Yes, and have you been missing the incredible band Arctic Monkeys? No more need to miss them because they are back and with a whole album. Their new album, The Car, arrives on October 21st. This is a follow-up to 2018’s Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino was written by Alex Turner and, once again, produced by James Ford.
The new LP was recorded at Butley Priory in Suffolk, RAK Studios in London, and La Frette in Paris. It will feature ten tracks, including “I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am,” which the band debuted live at Zurich Openair in Switzerland on Septebmer 5th.

The Album Look
The deluxe LP edition of the forthcoming album will be available on limited-edition grey vinyl with spined sleeve with “tip on” mounted gloss cover image via Arctic Monkeys’ official web store.
Additionally, an exclusive, custard-colored LP will be available at independent record shops and HMV stores. The Car will also come on standard LP, CD, and cassette, as well as on streaming platforms.
Per the press release, the record “finds Arctic Monkeys running wild in a new and sumptuous musical landscape and contains some of the richest and most rewarding vocal performances of Alex Turner‘s career.”
