Alesso Recruits CORSAK & Stray Kids For “Going Dumb”

Multi-platinum selling Swedish DJ and producer Alesso teamed up with CORSAK and K-Pop supergroup Stray Kids for a new EDM banger, “Going Dumb.”

The electro-pop single comes in a combination of languages: English and Korean. Stray Kids do a great job of bringing both languages together. Plus, it matches perfectly with the energy of the song. Another version of the song featuring just Alesso and CORSAK was also released. The change-up of vocals creates two entirely different moods, but both tracks progress in the same manner.

“Going Dumb” is Part of the Video game PUBG

“Going Dumb” forms part of a rollout with the video game PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds). In the past, we’ve seen the PUBG team up with artists such as deadmau5 and Alan Walker. Now, we can add Alesso to this list, as well.

Over the weekend, Alesso performed in-game alongside Lost Frequencies and R3HAB for the PUBG Mobile 3rd Anniversary Celebration. He shared the big announcement one week prior to the release of “Going Dumb.” “I’m excited to announce that I’ll be joining the PUBG MOBILE 3rd Anniversary Party on March 21! Download the game now to hear some new music from me,” he shared on Twitter.

PUBG Mobile recently upped its music-themed features. As part of the patch 1.3 update, gamers can partake in musical activities in cheer parks and stream various tracks at their leisure. The game continues to be a major player in virtual events, and certainly boosted the premiere of “Going Dumb” as it charted around the world at #1 on iTunes in 50 countries.

This is the first time that Stray Kids collaborated with any artist, making “Going Dumb” a big milestone for the group. Along with the single, they also released an official lyric video for fans to sing along to. The cheerful video includes cute cartoons and it incorporates both Korean and English languages.
