That’s when they released their break out single, ‘Versace’. Then, the single peaked at No. 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Takeoff contributes unforgettable adlibs in his songs with Migos. Additionally, he had his own album, The Last Rocket, which released in 2018. The project included songs such as ‘Casper’, ‘Last Memory’, and ‘She Gon Wink’. The album debuted at number 4 on the US Billboard 200.
Most recently, Migos has broken up so Quavo and Takeoff have been making music of their own. Only Built For Infinity Links, their newest album, was just recently released on October 7th. Just a week after the release, the album landed No. 7 on the US Billboard 200. The album includes popular songs “HOTEL LOBBY” featuring Unc & Phew, ‘To The Bone” and Nothing Changed.”
Saying Goodbye
Celebrities have took to social media to say their condolences, express their hurt, and express their anger about how often we are losing rappers. Takeoff’s death is taking place after many other rapper’s recent deaths. Just this year Lil Keed passed on May 14, PNB Rock fatally shot on September 18, and Coolio died on September 28.
I was in college when Biggie and ‘Pac were killed and thought there was no way we’d ever experience anything remotely close to that again. Now it’s happening so frequently that you barely have time to recover before someone else killed. RIP Takeoff.

Takeoff man 😢🙏🕊️ Despite being in the biggest hiphop group of this era, he stayed the same chill dude he was day 1. Takeoff always showed so much love to the world and had such great energy. Yet again, another hiphop icon gone way before their time. RIP my bro 🙏 pic.twitter.com/zjKm2XDdpM

Let’s send our sympathies to Takeoff’s uncle Quavo, who unfortunately witnessed the scene and was very close with his nephew. Takeoff has thankfully made his mark and made a name for himself throughout his career. Rest in power, Take.
