MUNA Share Emotional “Home By Now”

Indie-pop band MUNA released their newest single “Home By Now,” coming ahead of their forthcoming self-titled studio album.

MUNA Are Getting Ready For Their Third Album

We have new music from MUNA! The group has recently been sharing new singles ahead of the big release of their third album MUNA, coming out on June 24. As for now, they have shared the singles “Silk Chiffon,” “Kind of Girl,” “Anything But Me,” with the most recent one being “Home By Now.”

“Home By Now” fits perfectly in the band’s new era of music. The song is an emotional rollercoaster that talks about reminiscing on the good memories that that particular person once shared with you, and wondering what would have happened if they were still in your life. “Would we have turned a corner if I had waited? Do I need to lower my expectations? If we’d kept heading the samе direction. Would we be homе by. Now I don’t know if I’d been okay with,” they sing in the chorus.

“‘Home By Now’ is the song on the record that we feel might be closest to our first album in that it’s a dance song with brutal lyrics and an emo bridge,” MUNA’s Katie Gavin said. “It’s a breakup song that’s a bit more full of longing and doubt than ‘Anything But Me’. While a lot of this album does seem to be about trusting my instincts, this song acknowledges the pain of not knowing if I left a relationship that I was meant to be in.”

They Will Tour The US Later This Year

The new song arrives just as MUNA announced their extensive US tour that will happen this summer and fall. Hitting the road celebrating the new album, they will go to big cities like Cleveland, Minneapolis, Boston, Washington, Houston, and San Francisco. The tour will run from July 30 to October 26.
