Metallica Creates Foundation to Aid Ukrainian Refugees

The state of the world, specifically Ukraine, has promoted a humanitarian effort from countries and celebrities of all kinds. While the most effective thing would be to aid in the fight literally. For many who wish to support from afar, monetary involvement is as far as they can go. One such band is the heavy metal legend: Metallica. Their support goes to the most basic of things: food.

Metallica Creates Foundation

Going as far as creating a foundation and making a $500,000 donation to the World Central Kitchen. The WCK provides meals for Ukrainian refugees. The band had this to say:

We are inspired, humbled, and beyond proud to support their teams currently in six European countries serving millions of Ukrainians who have been forced to leave their homes.”

It doesn’t end there. The band aims to raise over $1,000,000 in the next two months. As an incentive, the band released a t-shirt and said that all the proceeds will go straight to the foundation. You can buy the shirt here and donate to help the Ukrainian people here
