Pop boyband Why Don’t We are back with a new single. “Love Back” arrives as the first single following up to their sophomore album The Good Times and The Bad Ones.
A Tragic But Upbeat Song About Letting Go
Fans go crazy about Why Don’t We. That’s not a secret. So, after 9 months of having no new music from the boys, you can imagine how happy they were to get a new single. “Love Back” is a sunny, upbeat track that serves as an ode to an ex, reflecting on the times the couple had before the breakup. Even though the lyrics are about a tragic situation, the band managed to make it sound happy and bright for what the future holds. “Baby, I just want my love back. I’d love to love someone new. But I gave it all to you. Honey, I just want my love back. If you’re not gonna be the one. At least give me back my love,” they sing in the chorus.
“We are so thankful to be able to release new music for our fans after they have been such an incredible support system for us throughout the past five years as a band. ‘Love Back’ is the start of our most authentic chapter yet, and we can’t wait for what’s next,” Why Don’t We said in a statement to Just Jared Jr.
Why Don’t We Are Back on Stage After Two Years
Last week, to celebrate the release of “Love Back,” the band got some lucky fans together for a private concert. The show marked Why Don’t We’s first time on stage in two years, and they played some of their biggest hits like “8 Letters” and “Lotus Inn.” They took the opportunity to record a special music video for “Love Back,” as the upcoming music video for the song will showcase visuals from the event.
The boys shared an Instagram post with some photos from the concert to commemorate the occasion. “LAST NIGHT. We missed your faces and your energy so much the last two years. Can’t believe it’s been that long. Thank you for all the love y’all have been showing us on love back and this new era of Why Don’t We. More to come,” they captioned the post.
