National Album Day chose Joy Crookes as Album Day Ambassador

Jay CrookesAlongside the artist, the National Album Day chose four other women as Album Day Ambassadors. They are Sharleen Spiteri, Laura Mvula, Ray Blk and Joy Crookes.

“Ever since I was a child, my favorite possession was an album,” Joy Crookes says while describing her passion for albums. “It is important we protect the album artform as removing it and oversaturating our industry with singles removes the stage for musicians to tell their story.”

In response to National Album Day’s choice, Minogue said to be “proud to be a part of National Album Day alongside such amazing, inspirational female artists!”

Moreover, the National Album Day group said that they will “announce more details over the summer.” In particular, these announcements include the list of names supporting National Album Day 2021. In addition, they will release special product to mark the occasion.
