▶ Featured Artist: Cannons – Fun Underneath the “Purple Sun”

Indie-pop band Cannons released their latest single “Purple Sun,” a relaxing and melodic song about having fun with that special person.

Canons are Preparing for Their Upcoming Album Fever Dream

It seems like Cannons are preparing for something big (and they are!). “Purple Sun” is the third song that the band releases in a bundle; alongside “Ruthless” and “Bad Dream,” released last year. All three of these songs will form part of their upcoming album Fever Dream!

“Purple Sun” includes Cannons’ signature sound and gives you the feeling that you are on a warm island just enjoying the sun with a loved one. “And when our time comes. I won’t come undone. ‘Cause I’ve got you. Baby, I’m just having fun. Underneath the purple sun. ‘Cause I like me when I’m with you,” Michelle sings.

About the new song, Michelle said, “We’re so excited to kick off the new year with a new song from our upcoming full-length album Fever Dream. ‘Purple Sun’ is a song that transports you into a warm lighthearted world where reality and dream world intertwine, sparking the desire to love and enjoy the moment fearlessly.”

Catch Them on Their Headlining Tour in North America!

Recently, Cannons announced an extensive headlining North American tour that will stop in major cities like Vancouver, Denver, Chicago, and Boston. It will also get to other smaller cities, such as Santa Cruz, CA, Okeechobee, FL, and Arcata, CA. The tour kicks off on March 1 in Los Angeles, CA, and will travel across the entire country before making its way back to California, where their last stop will be on April 15 in Santa Ana, CA.

The news of the tour arrive just as Cannons had to sadly share the bad news that they were canceling their appearances in Seattle and Portland for lovelytheband’s tour last year due to increasing cases of Covid-19. The good news here is that they will be coming back to these cities for their headlining tour! You can find all dates and tickets to their tour here.
