The boyband is trying new things out. “How Do You Love Somebody,” contrary to their prior work, is a pop-rock song that is simply too good to put into words. The band is known for their hit pop singles “Love Back,” “8 Letters,” and “Don’t Wake Me Up.” But I have a good feeling that this song is going to become their next hit.
“How Do You Love Somebody” is an uplifting track that talks about heartbreak, and going through a hard time of having to witness seeing a person you love move on to somebody else. “I just don’t get it, how you left so quick. Just fifteen minutes, now you textin’ him. I just don’t get how you left so quick. You broke my heart and I’m a mess again…How do you love somebody? How do you love somebody else?” are some of the lyrics in the song.
“‘How Do You Love Somebody’ is a new and fresh song for us. Every song we make, we feel one step closer to defining the question ‘who is Why Don’t We?’ and I don’t think the band has ever been so unanimous that a song defines who we are as ‘How Do You Love Somebody’ does,” the boyband shared in a statement.
“This song is filled with electric energy and even more electric guitars,” they continued. “It’s an anthem for all who have had a past lover that moved on too quickly, which all 5 of us can, unfortunately, relate to. We had so much fun making ‘How Do You Love Somebody’ and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!”
They’re Going on Tour This Summer & Fall
Additionally, besides the release of the new song, Why Don’t We announced their upcoming The Good Times Only Tour, kicking off on July 27 in Tulsa, OK. The extensive tour will see the boys travel across the United States and Canada, and will come to an end on October 1 in Las Vegas, NV. For a full list of dates and tickets, click here.
