Why Bad Bunny Is Apple Music’s Artist Of 2022

Bad Bunny Is Apple Music’s Artist Of 2022

Apple Music coins Bad Bunny as their artist of 2022. The multi-talented singer-songwriter and producer rightfully earns this title, as 2022 has been a monumental breakthrough for Bad Bunny’s career. The trap and Latin hip hop artist has had overwhelming and record-breaking achievements in his short-lived career thus far. Then, on May 6, 2022, the musician releases his sixth studio album, Un Verano Sin Ti.

Un Verano Sin Ti

Before Taylor Swift reigned the chart with her 2022 Midnights album, Bad Bunny took the cake for the most-streamed album this year. Also, the superstar set the record for the most-streamed artist globally in a day. Prior to Un Verano Sin Ti, Drake held the record for the most-streamed artist globally in a day with 176.8 million streams. Notably, Bad Bunny knocked Drake out of the ballpark, amassing 183 million streams in a single day. The day of the album release, all of the 23 tracks from Un Verano Sin Ti would secure a spot in the top 30 of Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart. In addition, nine of the tracks would escalate to the top 10. Un Verano Sin Ti dominates this year in music, and for that he is Apple Music’s artist of 2022.

Why We Love Bad Bunny

Now, Bad Bunny is deserving of the title of Apple Music’s artist of 2022 for many reasons. He was Spotify’s number one most-streamed artist globally in 2020 and 2021. So, it’s about time he receives the recognition.

Not to mention he uses his influence for a greater good, speaking out about transphobia, gender roles and fluidity, homophobia and misogyny. What is not to love about this man, seriously. The sky is not even the limit for Bad Bunny. And we cannot wait to see what’s next for him.
