New year of Music Daily Discoveries and new names coming out. This time it is griffin tomaino’s turn. Perhaps the name won’t tell you anything, but don’t worry, we’re here for that. Yes, because griffin is a totally new face of the music biz, he’s probably not even under a label yet. There’s not a lot of information about him on the internet, he’s a music promise still in high school with big dreams and two releases already available on Spotify: ‘lake’ and ‘psycho’.
“lake” and “psycho”: so close but so different
griffin has published his first official single this very last summer, the conception of ‘lake’ is a romantic track that comes out as a personal diary in music. Love the melody of it, also because it’s very true. It’s all about the feelings of an underage man singing in the most sincere and beautiful way possible. It reminds me of a younger and less pop Shawn Mendes at the beginning of his career. ‘psycho’, instead, is something else. Well, there’s always that early ‘2000 inspiration (and you can really tell), but what comes out is his will to try new things.
Definitely interesting, a young voice with good ideas who could do a lot. It’s way too early to say where he’ll go with his music, but there’s talent. And this is something that no one can take away from him.
We’ll keep an eye on him, because it’s not a secret that Music Daily wants to tell you first about these new gen talents. And we do believe griffin tomaino is one of them. So be ready for it.
