Kpop’s 4th generation “It Boys” TOMORROW X TOGETHER, also known as TXT, have joined together with American rapper Iann Dior to produce “Valley of Lies.”

Credited as one of the songwriters and composers is TXT member Yeonjun. MOAs, TXT’s fans, were very happy and proud to find out that Yeonjun was able to participate in the creation of the song’s final version.

“Valley of Lies” is an alternative indie song with rock and hip hop aspects. While it has an upbeat melody, the song’s lyrics are quite contemplative and melancholic. Both Dior and Yeonjun sing the chorus: “I’m walking through the valley of lies / I see a coffin, perfect fit for my size / They won’t open, got silky stitch in my eye / I’m hurting, and I lost my heart in the sky.” The other TXT members—Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and HueningKai—join Dior during the bridge and post-chorus.

How The TXT-Dior Collaboration Came to Be

In an interview with SiriusXM, TXT and Dior spoke about how their collaboration began. Dior had actually sent TXT the demo for the song, and once he heard that the group liked it and wanted to be a part of it, the partnership began. The artists then went back and forth, writing lyrics and recording vocals, before releasing the song on July 22nd.

The Song’s First Live Performance

During their most recent tour concert at the Microsoft Theater in LA, TXT brought out Dior to perform “Valley of Lies” for the first time ever. The Kpop group had even taught Dior choreography for the chorus, and MOAs loved seeing the artists have fun together on the stage. Watch their performance below!
