Travis Scott Details Third Annual Astroworld Festival

A Stacked Lineup for Astroworld Fest

Travis Scott’s Astroworld started as an album paying homage to a Six Flags theme park. But now Astroworld has become one of the hottest festival tickets this year. Travis Scott took to Instagram to announce the lineup for the third annual Astroworld Fest. It’s all happening Nov. 5-6 at NRG Park, the site of the former Six Flags Astroworld.  The lineup is stacked with artists from all kinds of genres. There’s indie favorites like Tame Impala, Yves Tumor, and Toro y Moi. Some of rap’s biggest names like Young Thug, 21 Savage, and Baby Keem. Even Earth, Wind & Fire made an appearance on the lineup.

Scott Previews Astroweek

A week after Scott announced the lineup, he shared plans for Astroworld Week. Starting Nov. 2, the emcee is hosting a series of events to support his non-profit, the Cactus Jack Foundation. Its mission is to empower and enrich the lives of Houston’s youth through educational and creative resources. The foundation provides scholarships for HBCU students and worked to combat food insecurity in Houston with community gardens.

Astroweek begins with a Cactus Jack x Nike pop-up at Scott’s store, Space Village. Following are a celebrity golf tournament, the unveiling of the Cactus Jack x Jordan Brand basketball court, a softball game at Minute Maid Park, and more. Following the Astroworld festival, fans can attend the premiere of Red Rocket, Travis Scott’s film with A24.

La Flame Teases Utopia

In his Instagram post announcing the lineup for the festival, Scott wrote, “WELCOME TO UTOPIA”. Calling the festival a utopia seems to be a reference to his upcoming fourth studio album, Utopia. It’s expected to drop this year via Cactus Jack Records and Epic Records. At Rolling Loud New York this past weekend, Scott teased a new verse from the upcoming Utopia track, “Escape Plan.” Travis Scott has done plenty of side projects and verses, but he hasn’t released an album in three years, so this release is shaping up to be his biggest to date.
