Normani & Cardi B Show Their “Wild Side”

Two years after her last single “Motivation,” Normani has made her big comeback with the new single “Wild Side,” which features no one else other than Cardi B.

Normani Shows a Different Side of Her

Normani’s fans have waited a long time for this moment. It’s officially been two years since “Motivation,” and more than one year since her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion on “Diamonds.” “Wild Side” officially sets the path of Normani’s new era. Fans speculate it is the starting point for her highly anticipated debut album.

The new track is certainly different from what Normani has done in the past. Embracing her body, she explains literally wanting to show her “Wild Side” to a lover. “We can’t just keep talkin’ about it, we think too often about it. We can’t just be cautious about it. I wanna get wild,” she sings.

Cardi Jumped in the Track at the Last Minute!

In the music video, directed by Tanu Muino and choreographed by Sean Bankhead, Normani, as always, proves that she is a magnificent dancer. The choreography, along with the multiple fancy costumes displayed, make it a complete piece of art.

“I had already been in rehearsal for about three weeks preparing for the video when Cardi heard the record for the first time,” Normani said in a statement. “She really showed up for me and brought this record to life by simply doing what Cardi does best. I love that woman down and I’m forever grateful.”

“I feel like this is Normani’s big comeback and I want you guys to treat it like it’s her birthday. Like, this is literally her birthday and, like, this song is everything. It’s amazing and I am just so proud of her. I’m just like the support team, I’m the support team, okay? I’m just here like, ‘Yay.’ But I’m so excited. You guys are gonna see Normani in a different light. Oh my gosh, I’m excited. This is amazing,” Cardi B shared in a video posted to her Instagram stories.
