Tour Information

Tour tickets will go on sale July 29, with her much-anticipated album dropping September 23. Fans will have plenty of time to see Lane from her first show in Nashville Public Square Park on September 1 to her last in Des Moines on December 18. Yes, the 38-year-old will be on the road all season long with 45 unique stops and gigs.

Lane already shared two singles from “Denim & Diamonds,” titled “Black Widow” and “First High.” Rolling Stone praised both tacks as “an amped-up ode to chasing that reckless feeling of youthful excitement[…].”

“Denim & Diamonds”

Lane approached her fourth album differently compared to her first three, “Walk of Shame” (2011), “All Or Nothin” (2014), and “Highway Queen” (2017). “Denim & Diamonds” was born out of a moment of careful consideration in Lane’s career,” said the press release. After several years of touring behind her last album came to a close, the pandemic only started. And with everyone inside, Lane knew it was time to find inspiration somewhere new.

Lane found help from Queens of the Stone Age’s Joshua Homme, Alain Johannes, Dean Fertita, and Michael Shuman, as well as drummers Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys) and Carla Azar (Autolux). The record nods towards her wide-ranging influences like psychedelia of The 13th Floor Elevators to traditional country stalwarts like Loretta Lynn. “Denim & Diamonds” is Lane cementing her first decade as a songwriter while retelling her upbringing from her religious youth in South Carolina to Nashville rebel.

Lane was raised as a Baptist in Greenville, South Carolina. However, discovering music as a form of creative expression led to dropping out of school at just 17 to pursue her dreams. From starting her career as a songwriter, Lane has released three albums since her debut in 2011.

Aside from her own music, she was featured on “Breaking Up Slowly” off Lana Del Rey’s 2021 album, “Chemtrails Over the Country Club.” (Fun fact: Upon the album’s release, Lane was the only credited artist but was quickly changed to include Rey.) The singer also contributed to Spiritualized’s “Everything Was Beautiful.”
