Breakout pop artist Nicky Youre released his latest single “Eyes On You,” following on March’s “Never Go Wrong.”
Nicky Is Here To Stay
If the name Nicky Youre doesn’t sound familiar, maybe his hit track “Sunroof” will. It was the smash hit of the summer. You could very much at least hear it once when scrolling through TikTok. Well, the new pop sensation is back, and has a new single to share with us.
“Eyes On You” arrives as Nicky’s only second single of the year, and fourth within his entire discography. Yeah, he’s very new! Nevertheless, with every new song that he puts out, he’s demonstrating that he’s born to be a star in the music industry. His sound is relaxing yet extremely catchy. Once you listen to one of his songs, you won’t be able to get them out of your head!
Describing A Real-Life Love Story In “Eyes On You”
“Eyes On You” describes the story of a special person moving to California – the state where Nicky lives, and they finally get to spend time together. In the song, Nicky expresses how much he appreciates that person. At the same time, he knows that other people might see that too. “She new to California, she know that I adore her. She got me like ooh, I don’t know what to do. Sweet tea like Arizona, one look and I’m a goner. You’re looking at me while they’re looking at you. All eyes on you,” he sings in the chorus.
“I wrote this song after a special person in my life moved to California,” Nicky says. “We were finally in the same state, and it felt so good to be close to them. The weekend before I wrote it, I had gone to a country concert and was inspired by how fun and energetic country songs can be, as well as how full they feel live. I wanted to try to capture those feelings with this song. The combination of those two events was enough for me to write a fun love song you can sing in your car or scream along with all of your friends at a concert.”
“Eyes On You” lands along with a humorous music video, in which a girl that’s new to the neighborhood asks Nicky to take care of her cat for the weekend while she’s away. In the end, she falls in love with both the cat and the girl, and it seems like those feelings are mutual.
