Natti Natasha has united with Latin female artists Cazzu, Farina & La Duraca to create powerful anthem ‘Las Nenas.’ It arrives just in time for Women’s History Month.
Four Different Nationalities Come Together in ‘Las Nenas’
“With this song, I wanted to unite powerful and talented women who continue to make their way in the urban genre industry;” Natti Natasha said in a statement. “I’m excited to release a song entirely by women; show how capable we are of taking Latin music to another level. I’m sure that we’re going to breakthrough. We hope that more girls will join us to cause a little ‘disorder.’”
“This is the first time that four girls collaborate in the urban genre. I’m proud to be taking that flag,” the Dominican artist tells Billboard. “I feel that it’s necessary to end the stigma that girls don’t collaborate because they are competitive and they’re rivals. We made this happen and we need to keep the women’s movement at the top.” She continued, “I can describe Farina as humble, La Duraca as unique, and Cazzu as talented. They all have so many great qualities that it’s hard to pick only one.”
Natasha brings together women from all over the world in ‘Las Nenas’. Farina represents Colombia, Cazzu comes from Argentina, and La Duraca is a proud Puerto Rican rapper. The song was produced by reggaeton legend Luny and rising Panamanian star Dímelo Flow. The four women unleash a new Latin urban emblem with empowering energy. Natasha, Farina, Cazzu, and La Duraca rap about creating “disorder” and raising a ruckus. ‘Las Nenas’ serves up a fierce and fabulous club banger.
A New Natti Natasha & Becky G Collab in the Works?
A vibrant music video, directed by Daniel Duran in Miami; features all four artists breaking the rules and partying on their own terms. “Alone or together, we’re all one,” Natti chants in the song.
At the end of the music video, Becky G makes a cameo, where she’s seen picking up Natti from the crazy house party the morning after. “It’s a continuation, there’s something coming,” Natti says, hinting at another collaboration with Becky.
Natti Natasha also shows that everything is possible with hard work in the music industry. The singer, who is pregnant, said in an interview with The Associated Press; “I want to work more to break the stigma that pregnant women in the entertainment industry can’t work”. She continued, “None of that, that should not happen.”
