Rising British singer-songwriter Mimi Webb released her new single “Ghost of You,” and announced that her debut album Amelia will arrive in March 2023.
Mimi Webb Owns Our Pop Music Hearts
If you are into pop music, you might have heard the song “House On Fire” by Mimi Webb at the beginning of the year. It was everywhere on social media and even on the radio! In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, let me introduce you to the singer, Mimi Webb. She is a rising pop artist that you should start getting to know.
Mimi creates uplifting pop music to listen to as you’re getting ready for a night out with friends. Or, if you just went through a breakup and despise your ex- her music is good for that too.
“Ghost of You” Says Goodbye to a Serious Relationship
On “Ghost of You,” however, Mimi Webb shows us a distinct side of her. The track is soft and delicate, yet still powerful. The song sees the singer going through a recent breakup, but this one is different. The couple was living together, so saying goodbye made things one million times harder. Now, Webb describes still feeling her ex’s presence everywhere in the house, even though he’s not there.
“Every time I’m in the dark. I feel you there like a shock to my heart. Back from the dеad. Oh, I know you’re gone. But I still hold onto the ghost of you. Ghost of you,” Mimi sings in the chorus.
Amelia is Coming in March
“Ghost of You” is the first official single from Mimi Webb’s upcoming debut album Amelia, set for release on March 3rd, 2023. “Announcing my first ever album is such an important moment in my career that honestly, sometimes I wasn’t even sure would happen. But after three years of hard work, I just can’t wait to share this body of work with all of you who have helped me get to where I am today.”
“The album is named Amelia, my full first name, as there are two sides of me that I want people to get to know. There’s Amelia, the girl from the UK countryside who loves to be at home with her family, friends, and dogs; and Mimi, the pop artist who loves to be up on stage traveling the world. It was important for me to capture this duality with songs written for both of those girls, and I’m excited for you all to get to know them!”
