Mark Ronson Announces “Watch the Sound” Docuseries

British DJ Mark Ronson announced that he will be having the Apple TV+ docuseries Watch the Sound featuring worldwide-known celebrities.

Watch the Sound With Mark Ronson Premieres on July 30!

Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson will be a six-part docuseries all about music and the way it’s made. Premiering on July 30, the show will include interviews with some of the biggest and most influential names in the music industry.

Each episode of Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson will follow Ronson as he uncovers the untold stories behind music creation. Also, the lengths producers and creators are willing to go to find the perfect sound. Ronson explores music’s intersection with artistry and technology in candid conversations with music legends and icons. These include Paul McCartney, Questlove, King Princess, Dave Grohl, Adrock, Mike D from the Beastie Boys, Charli XCX, and more. Here he will discover the ways in which these unique tools have influenced their work.

The end of each episode will feature Ronson creating a unique piece of original music; using different techniques like reverb, synth, autotune, drum machines, sampling, and distortion. “I’ve always been obsessed with how things sound. It’s the difference between a great song and an iconic recording,” Ronson says in a voiceover during the trailer.

Mark Ronson Celebrates the News

Tremolo Productions produce the docuseries; with Ronson, Neville, Mark Monroe, Jason Zeldes, and Kim Rozenfeld serving as executive producers.

Celebrating the trailer release, Ronson took over to Instagram to talk more about the project. “This is one of my proudest achievements. I went and talked to some of the greatest legends and exciting trailblazers; to find out how they made the sounds and the songs that changed the course of music. From McCartney to Charli to Preemo, some of my favorite people are here revealing the magic behind the craft. This is such a soulful journey too. I’m so excited to share this.”
