MARINA releases Platinum Blonde edition of the ‘ELECTRA HEART’
MARINA fans rejoice, the Electra Heart Platinum Blonde Edition Vinyl went on pre-sale.
This album is pressed on two magenta-colored discs, housed in a gatefold sleeve, and wrapped in an iridescent slipcase. This is a must-have collector’s item for Marina fans old and new. It even includes rare tracks “EVOL” and “Electra Heart.” The album includes fan favorites such as ‘Teen Idel,” “How to be a Heart Breaker” and “Bubblegum Bitch.” Many of MARINA’s songs off the album have been making waves in the TIK TOK community. It is set to release on September 23, 2022.

April 27 marked the 10-year anniversary of MARINA’s second album Electra Heart.
Electra Heart (Platinum Blonde Edition) is the updated version of the 2012 album of the same name.
The origins of the album stem from MARINA’s feelings on lost love and female identity. It was released by Atlantic Records.
Marina says:
“I think a lot of people will think Electra Heart is an alter ego or something but she’s not, it’s kind of basically a vehicle to portray part of the American dream, with elements of Greek tragedy and that’s all going to be coming out through the visuals. It’s hard to explain but I think you’ll see it when it all comes together.”
“Electra Heart is the antithesis of everything that I stand for. And the point of introducing her and building a whole concept around her is that she stands for the corrupt side of American ideology, and basically that’s the corruption of yourself. My worst fear – that’s anyone’s worst fear – is losing myself and becoming a vacuous person. And that happens a lot when you’re very ambitious.”
