Madi Diaz Joins Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion

Madi Diaz is officially on the line-up for Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion. Luck Reunion is the annual music festival held at Nelson’s ranch during South by Southwest in Spicewood, Texas.

Also on the line-up this year are Dawes, Lucius, Durand Jones, John Oates, Victoria Bigelow, Zella Day, Toadies, the Polyphonic Spree and more. But Diaz in particular is a performer to be excited about.

Madi Diaz Gets Her Due

Rolling Stone labeled Madi Diaz as Nashville’s “Secret Weapon” and for good reason. The singer-songwriter has toured with Harry Styles and My Morning Jacket. She’s collaborated with Kacey Musgraves, Angel Olsen and Muna. But she isn’t an up-and-comer. She’s released six full-length albums and has been a familiar face in Nashville since 2008.

She released her sixth album, Weird Faith, on February 9th. In a recent interview with XPN, she discussed the ups and downs of her music career as well as her love life, which was the inspiration behind the new record.

“After being really burned by love – maybe relentlessly burned by it – the album is about being brave and trying again. Doing it differently,” she said. “With any new love experience you obviously don’t want to bring your years of baggage into this new relationship but you also want to honor where you’re coming from and all of the reasons you are terrified. A lot of the record is that inward conversation.”

Though Diaz’s previous records discuss love, this latest venture is her deepest dive yet; it’s one loaded with siren songs beckoning listeners to dive into their own vulnerabilities regarding love.

Luck Reunion

As stated above, you can catch Madi Diaz live at the Luck Reunion. The music festival takes place on March 14th, 2024. According to the official website, ”Set times will be posted closer to the date and listed online and at the event. Set times are subject to change, so keep up to date by following along with our social media channels.”
