Luke Combs Drops “Growin’ Up & Gettin’ Old”

After releasing his third studio album, Growin’ Up, last June, Luke Combs will be releasing his fourth studio album on March 24. The single “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” released on January 27. As many fans speculated, the second half of Luke’s double album sports the name, Getting Old. Wondering what songs will be on the second half of his double album? You’re not alone.

Possible Songs

First, let’s look at the facts. “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” HAS to be the lead song for the album. After looking at the obvious, there is still some dust on the shelves that might reveal the rest of his song list. Digging through his unreleased originals, there’s a large pile of songs that remain hidden from his discography. For example, “Days like These,” “Five-Leaf Clover,” “Good Old Days,” “We Still Drink Beer,” “See Me Now,” and “Ever Mine.” These are only a few of the songs that Luke Combs keeps close to his chest. Sitting on his social media platforms for over year (and some over two), it’s a mystery how Luke managed to keep them all off of his most recent album. Luckily for us, we can hopefully expect most of these to be on Getting Old.

If you haven’t been stalking his YouTube channel, then maybe you’ve seen his Instagram feed. Luke Combs has posted “Sleepless in a Hotel Room,” “Tattoo On a Sunburn,” and more. With a total of over eight unreleased songs scattered throughout his posts, there’s still plenty of room for new music. Gladly, Getting Old bursts 18 songs, so fans will have a lot of new music to digest.

Luke Combs describes the album as: “the stage of life I’m in right now. One that I’m sure a lot of us are in, have been through, or will go through. It’s about coming of age, loving where life is now but at the same time missing how it used to be, continuing to fall for the one you love and loving them no matter what, living in the moment but still wondering how much time you have left, family, friends, being thankful, and leaving a legacy. Me and so many others have poured their hearts and souls into this record and I hope you love it as much as we do.”

Luke Combs At The 2023 Grammys

Since his three 2023 Grammy award nominations including Country Song, Country Album, and Country Group Performance of the Year, this is Luke’s best shot yet at winning a Grammy. After only receiving one Grammy nomination each year for four years in a row, he might finally get a well-deserved award. Regardless, fans will get to see him walk the stage when he performs. Excitingly, Grammy viewers have never seen Luke perform on the special night in years past until now! 2023 is Luke Combs’ year! With Luke dropping another album this spring, the Grammy Academy Members ought to get used to seeing his name on the nomination list.

Hopefully, Luke Combs doesn’t “slow his roll” too much, because Luke’s Bootleggers are always thirsty for more music!
