Between Us is the first greatest hits compilation album by the British female group Little Mix. The reminiscent album of the astonishingly long list of successful tracks made its debut in November via RCA. The band announced the album on the 10th anniversary of the band’s formation on the eighth series of the British version of The X Factor.
The album contains Little Mix’s biggest hits. It starts with their debut single, DNA, when the former quartet had just won the 8th edition of X Factor UK (2011). Some recent successful tracks appear as well from 2020’s Confetti. Some even more recent cuts are part of the collection, including “Kiss My (Uh Oh)” last summer’s collaborations with Anne-Marie and the new one with David Guetta and Galantis (“Heartbreak Anthem”).
Little Mix’s “Between Us” and other new singles
Few days before the release of the album, Little Mix shared Between Us, one of the five new tracks from the album. It is the twentieth track on Little Mix’s compilation album. The song was released on November 5th as the first promotional single.
In addition, the 26-tracks-deluxe version of Between Us contains four new singles (for the deluxe Edition of the album). On the record, the new singles that the singer-songwriters published are “No,” “Cut You Off,” “Love (Sweet Love)” and “Between Us.” These are the singles available in the original version of the album. With the deluxe edition of the album there’s the bonus track, “Trash.”
The new singles emphasise the band’s musical features, proposing characteristics very similar to those already present in their past music. This critic doesn’t completely hype these singles due to their similarities with Little Mix’ old songs. On the other hand, this choice solidifies the band’s musical direction and identifying characteristics.
