“Life’s A Mess II” Is CLEVER, Post Malone, Juice WRLD

“Life’s A Mess II”

Rapper CLEVER has dropped a new single ahead of his upcoming album. The song is titled “Life’s A Mess II”. The roman numerals reference the fact that this song is the second “Life’s A Mess” out in the world.

The late rapper Juice WRLD released a song of the same title on Legends Never Die. The posthumous record peaked at No. 1 and featured Halsey.

CLEVER, who was friends with Juice WRLD and a long time admirer, is paying homage to his art. “Life’s A Mess II” is a heartbreaking hip-hop song that is both haunting and melodic. With the loss of a friend and an icon being the message of the song, it’s darkness makes sense. The mesmerizing musical qualities of “Life’s A Mess II” cannot be overlooked though.

Adding to the power of the song is a verse from fellow rapper Post Malone. The beloved “Circles” performer drops in for an emotional, gritty feature. It’s vital to the song’s message though and engaging for every listener. Together, CLEVER, Post Malone, and the late Juice WRLD make for one hypnotic hip-hop track.

Who Is CLEVER?

CLEVER is a young, mysterious, urban star who quickly rose to prominence in the industry. As a rapper and songwriter, he learned from the best. David Foster and Snoop Dogg were songwriting mentors of his, leading up to his first solo single in 2018. The track, “When Only You Will Do,” is what connected him with Juice WRLD.

The Alabama native worked extensively with the deceased rapper – aiding to his success. CLEVER was featured on “Ring Ring,” from Juice WRLD’s gold-certified debut album.

Since then, CLEVER released his personal, ultra creative mixtape WHO IS CLEVER. 20+ million streams on Spotify alone has led to this moment and this track. Not only is he now performing with Post Malone, of who is a fan of his, but he is honoring his friend publicly. “Life’s A Mess II” is all of that and more.

It’s been a whirlwind few years for CLEVER, but his talent and fame just continues to grow. “Life’s A Mess II” only adds to that growth.
