American trio Khruangbin returns with a new collaboration with Leon Bridges to release the new single Chocolate Hills!

Texas Moon

Khruangbin recently announced the release of Texas Moon. In fact, on the band’s social profile’s, the cover of their upcoming new record appeared.

Khruangbin Texas Moon

The cover of the album recalls possibly the biggest and most famous project of the band, Texas Sun. Inspired by 70s hippie and psychedelic culture and 1890s-1910s Art Nouveau, both Texas Sun and Texas Moon reflects Khruangbin’s characteristic appearance.

Opposite in colours and space elements, the recurrent theme of a street running direct to the sun- now moon- is once again repeated. The psychedelic motives and colours are once again central in the graphics.

In the upcoming album the trio, comprises Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Ray “DJ” Johnson Jr. on drums will be joined by the long-term friend and colleague Leon Bridges. The singer already participated in the production of Texas Sun. His voice and charisma was part of the great ambience of the album. The artist’s presence emphasised the psychedelic theme that characterise the band.

Both Chocolate Hills and B-Side plus the cover of the new album create a connection between the two records. Therefore, it is possible to speculate that the Texas Moon will recall the music genres and sounds the band created in 2020.

Khruangbin announced the release date for Feb 18th. Pre-order the album here!
