Justin Bieber To Resume Justice World Tour

After more than a month of recovery, Justin Bieber is set to resume his Justice World Tour on July 31st. His battle with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome – which paralyzes facial nerves – rendered him unable to perform in June and July. He announced the postponement of his tour in an Instagram video in early June.

Justin Bieber on Ramsay Hunt Syndrome

In his Instagram video, Justin’s face is visibly paralyzed on one side. He says, “This eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move… I’m just physically not capable of [doing shows].” Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is caused by the same virus as shingles, which causes blisters in the ear, hearing loss and facial paralysis.

Starting Up Justice World Tour… Across the World

Justin’s first show back is on July 31st in Italy at Summer Festival Lucca. From there, he will start a run “of European festivals… then continue across South America, South Africa, The Middle East, Asia, Australia & New Zealand then back to Europe in 2023.” At this time, it is unclear when his postponed dates in North America will be rescheduled. However, representatives do confirm that Justin is returning to those cities.

Justin Bieber Says He Needs to Slow Down

News of Justin’s diagnosis came just months after his wife, Hailey, suffered from a “mini stroke.” Justin explains in his Instagram video, “My body’s telling me I’ve got to slow down. I hope you guys understand.” JB says he will be using this downtime to relax, and that his face will “go back to normal” with time. It seems his ample rest and recovery worked, as the international superstar is back to touring for another year.

Thanking Fans

At the end of the nearly three minute video, Bieber thanked fans for their patience. Of course, fans are thankful for his recovery and look forward to seeing him back on tour. After all, Justin’s performances depend on him being healthy and happy, which he certainly seems to be these days.

Though North American fans haven’t received rescheduling updates yet, they will soon. For the latest news regarding the Justice World Tour North American leg, check back frequently to Justin’s official website and social medias.
