Undoubtedly Illuminati Hotties are an American punk and indie rock band from Los Angeles, California. This music project was created by Sarah Tudzin. She is a producer, mixer, and audio engineer. She first began her career as a recording engineer, and in 2017 she formed her band. The band released their first full-length album in 2018. The title of their debut album was “Kiss Yr Frenemies.” In that year, as the band claim on their Instagram profile, they began their career as “tenderpunk pioneer.”
Illuminati Hotties is now ready to begin a new chapter of their music career.
The record, entitled Let Me Do One More, contains 12 strong and impactful tracks. In fact, Illuminati Hotties does not just propose songs with a catchy and rock musical base, but rather deals with themes of great social relevance. In the song “Threatening Each Other re: Capitalism,” for example, from the title one can already notice the importance given to the discussion on the capitalism theme. Similarly, the other songs in the record consider important issues, too.
The singles that anticipated the album
Several singles anticipated the album: among these we find MMMOOOAAAAAYAYA.
Published by Hopeless Records, MMMOOOAAAAAYAYA is undoubtedly an impactful song. In fact, both the video and the lyrics do not leave the listener indifferent. In the video, Tudzin dances in her bra while the camera moves around her. She also gets covered by something similar to mud.
Among others, in bridge we can hear her singing:
[(Love me, fight me, choke me, bite me),
The DNC is playing dirty (The DNC is playing dirty)
Text me, touch me, call me daddy
(Text me, touch me, call me daddy)
I’m so sad I can’t do laundry
(I’m so sad I can’t do laundry)].
