EDM queens Icona Pop linked up with electronic music geniuses VIZE for a new track. “Off Of My Mind” combines both the beats and vocals to make it a banger.
Two Duos Unite on the New Track
What happens when you combine a female EDM duo with another EDM duo conformed by males? The answer is – a total hit. Both Icona Pop and VIZE put their masterminds together for the new summer track “Off Of My Mind.” It hits with the distinguishable Icona Pop energy and vocals.
You might remember Icona Pop for their 2012 debut hit “I Love It.” Well, now the Swedish electropop duo is back and better than ever. Speaking about the new song, Icona Pop reveal, “We are always so excited to release new music, especially in these times. We have been locked in the studio working on a new album for what feels like forever! We’re so happy to work with VIZE on this and can’t wait to start playing live again and to share all of our new music.”
VIZE added, “It was a pleasure to work on this song together with the girls from Icona Pop. Even though we, unfortunately, did not have the chance to meet in person, we simply cannot wait to play this on stage. It has such a unique vibe and the vocals are so on point. We are really happy that this track finally sees the light.”
Will “Off Of My Mind” Be the Start of Something New?
“Off Of My Mind” marks the beginning of a new era for Icona Pop, as they teased that this could be the first step to working on a new album. If it happens, the album would be the follow-up to their 2013 debut album THIS IS…ICONA POP. Yes, it’s been 8 years already! We can’t believe it either.
Nevertheless, the electropop starts have not disappointed fans. They have been working on singles throughout the years, the last one being “Spa” featuring Soffi Tukker, released in October last year.
