Green Day’s The Saviors Tour With Smashing Pumpkins

Green Day announced a new tour with the Smashing Pumpkins. Rancid and The Linda Lindas are joining the tour as well.

In between songs during Green Day’s recent concert in Las Vegas, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong made the announcement. The audience at Las Vegas’ Fremont Country Club was the first to get the big news shortly before the band shared the news via an official press release.

“I have a big announcement. It’s really big. Get your cameras ready,” Billie Joe teased the fans, knowing this would be all over social media. He then broke the news that the band is going on a North American stadium tour in 2024. At the same gig, Green Day also debuted a new song titled “The American Dream Is Killing Me,” from the band’s upcoming album, Saviors.

Green Day’s Saviors

Green Day’s upcoming album, Saviors, is coming out this January. The upcoming 2024 tour is named after it. Alongside all this tour news came a music video for their latest single, “Look Ma, No Brains!”—a single that debuted live during When We Were Young Fest.

Prior to touring North America next year, Green Day is touring the UK and Europe. These tours require different, European openers. These include Nothing But Thieves, the Hives, Donots, the Interrupters and Maid Of Ace.

In a press release, Green Day shared, “We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together. So let’s thrash.”
