The Event Will Go All Around the World

Taking place over 24 hours, the performance-filled global event calls on businesses and philanthropists to contribute resources to provide meals for more than 40 million people on the brink of famine and restore at least 1 billion trees to curb climate change by 2022, among other initiatives.

“There’s going to be live audiences all around the world,” CEO Hugh Evans tells Variety. “So we will have a full 60,000 audience in Central Park. We will have a full audience in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This is not like what we did last year, this is live-live. This is the whole world, literally and physically tens or hundreds of thousands of people coming together for this moment. It’s the biggest thing we’ve ever done by far.”
