Indie-pop artist and TikTok star Ellie Dixon has signed a record deal with Decca Records.
Ellie Dixon Has Taken TikTok by Storm
In the past year, Dixon has taken TikTok by storm thanks to her fun personality. She reflects her energy in her music, which is lively, dynamic, and most importantly, original. She creates all of her music from her bedroom, which made people relate to her. Now, her efforts are paying off as she signed a huge record deal.
Dixon says, “I am super excited to have signed with Decca Records! Thank you to everyone who has joined the journey so far – your support has made this happen. This all started out with me making beats on my parents’ computer, now I can’t wait to bring you new music, more madness, and share the journey with you all.”
Co-Presidents of Decca Label Group, Laura Monks and Tom Lewis, add, “Ellie Dixon is the epitome of self-built. A true next-generation artist thinking outside the confines of the traditional music market. She does it all, from writing and recording to mixing her self-released EP and directing all her own visuals. Her success to date growing her global fanbase in mere months speaks of her amazing talent, abundant creativity, and engaging personality. We are extremely proud Ellie is joining the Decca family.”
She’s Playing Some Shows This Spring & Summer
Dixon creates regular content both with her own music and through re-harmonizing others, adding original rap verses and duetting with sounds that catch her ear. Footage of her original material, trending duets, and intricately deconstructed harmonies have led to over a million followers on TikTok.
Additionally, she released her debut EP, Crikey! It’s My Psyche this past October. The 5-track project includes songs like “Green Grass,” “Sucker,” and “Space Out!”
Dixon will be playing some shows this spring and summer. Her next show is on April 7 at The Courtyard Theatre in London, and she is set to appear at some festivals as well, including The Great Escape, Shining, and Boardmasters. All dates and tickets are available here.
