DVBBS, Galantis & Cody Simpson Collide on “When The Lights Go Down”

DJ geniuses DVBBS and Galantis team up for their new single “When The Lights Go Down,” enlisting Australian singer-songwriter Cody Simpson.

“When The Lights Go Down” is a Dance-Pop Banger

“When The Lights Go Down” is everything we could hope for from these amazing artists. Putting their electronic music knowledge to work, DVBBS and Galantis offer groovy organic instrumentals into the mix, while Cody’s passionate vocals give the perfect touch to the fusion. As expected, the track is an upbeat dance-pop tune that will make you get up and dance, as well as sing your heart out.

Cody shared, “When the DVBBS boys reached out about collaborating on this track, I was stoked. To lend vocals and guitars on this was a pleasure. I’ve been a fan of both Galantis and DVBBS for a while now. Glad to be able to come together on a smash like this, and I hope everyone digs it as much as we do.”

DVBBS & Cody Had Already Worked Together Years Ago

The new infectious collaboration between DVBBS and Cody Simpson has been a long time coming. It turns out, the artists had already worked on a song together years ago, which they even performed live at Ultra Music Festival Miami. Unfortunately, that song was never released on any platform.

DVBBS shared, “We’ve shared stages all around the world with legends Galantis over the last decade and couldn’t be happier to now share this record together. We’ve also watched Cody Simpson grow into the amazing artist he is. He performed a record with us years ago at Ultra Music Festival that never came out. So, we had to finish the story right, and that’s ‘When The Lights Go Down.'”

Cody is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming album, which will be his first official LP since 2015’s Free. Nevertheless, he has been working on songs throughout the years and even released two EP’s – Wave One and Wave Two with his project “Cody and The Tide,” which disbanded a few years ago. He also released a bundle of acoustic songs on the album B-Sides in 2019.
