Shenseea, originally Chinsea Linda Lee, is a Jamaican singer and songwriter who first appeared on the music scene in 2018 dropping her single “Hard Drive.” The artist then developed a strong and unique personal style on the line of dancehall, becoming one of the main exponents in the genre. The artist first gained attention when she joined artists like Sean Paul, Christina Aguilera and Tyga. She was also featured on Kanye West’s Donda in the song “Pure Souls” in 2021. In the same year, she also won Best Reggae Act at the MOBO Awards.

For many this could be the top of her career, but for Shenseea is was only the beginning. She in fact than reached the stars when last week she performed at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA. The singer astonished the big public with her incredible sound and dance moves and officially becoming an icon in the genre and in general in music. People even started calling her the “Jamaican Selena” for her unique style that, however worldwide popular and infused with catchy melodies, is very close to home and aims to always represent her country and its musical beauty.
