Dierks Bentley, Elle King, and Lainey Wilson are hosting this year’s annual CMA Fest TV special on July 19th.
The chosen hosts are but three of many of country music’s biggest superstars taking the stage. Joining the trio is a line-up of mystery artists. In the weeks leading up to the TV special, keep an eye out for announcements regarding who is playing. If the line-up for the multi-day festival is any indication, this will be a concert to remember. Attendees and TV viewers should expect surprise collaborations and exclusive performances.
Courtesy of ABC, this is what CMA Chief Executive Officer Sarah Trahern has to say on the special.
”I could not be more excited to welcome Dierks Bentley, Elle King, and Lainey Wilson as our ‘CMA Fest’ hosts this year. As fans experienced last year, the energy Dierks and Elle bring to the stage is palpable and will only be amplified with the addition of Lainey this year. Each of these artists has a deep passion for CMA Fest and Country Music fans from around the globe who travel to Nashville for the event. We are thrilled to have all three of them together to help us celebrate 50 years!”

Heres to 20 Years
This is Dierks Bentley’s and Elle King’s second year of hosting and Lainey Wilson’s first. While the live festival is celebrating its 50th year, the CMA Fest TV special is celebrating its 20th year of television programming. That is no small feat for a TV special all-in on one genre, compared to a multi-genre special like the Grammys. An anniversary of two decades calls for a major celebration, and fans always benefit more than anyone from the festivities. Expect good vibes and good music.
The CMA Fest primetime TV special is a three-hour show that airs 8/7 central on ABC.
