Orville Peck Postpones All Upcoming Shows

Masked country artist Orville Peck just announced an indefinite hiatus of all his upcoming tour dates.

He broke the news on Instagram, writing the following:

“Hey y’all, I am completely heartbroken as I share this news, but I have made the incredibly difficult decision to postpone all my upcoming shows effective immediately. This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I’ve come to realize that my current mental and physical health won’t allow me to bring you my best.”

He continued, “My fans mean the absolute world to me and I am so incredibly thankful to every single person who has bought a ticket to come and see us play, I do not take it for granted. Being on stage is my favorite thing in the world. But I have to take this time to replenish my mind and body so that I can come back stronger and healthier than before, in order to do what I love for many years to come. I truly hope you can understand. See you soon and sending all my love, Orville.”

Orville Peck’s Bronco Tour

The unexpected announcement came just a day after the opening Bronco tour show at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The rest of the 11-date run had shows scheduled in Columbus, Cleveland, Asbury Park, Indianapolis, Omaha, Kansas City, and more. The tour would finish off on August 10th at The Bridge at Santa Fe Brewing Company in New Mexico.

This mini tour is one of several strings of shows on Orville’s schedule, as he is a popular act on the summer festival circuit. Orville Peck’s 2023 and 2022 have been extremely busy following the release of his second album. A mental and physical health break is sure to be a much-needed reset. These days fans and fellow entertainment industry folk are more understanding of that. Even more are vocal supporters of those who need time off from hectic and exhausting touring. The likes of Noah Cyrus, Joel McHale, Sophia Bush, and thousands of fans left supportive comments on Orville’s post. We here at Music Daily wish Orville Peck the best.
