Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Becky G & More Headlining Viva! LA Music Festival

J Balvin, Daddy Yankee, Becky G, and Kali Uchis will headline the inaugural Viva! LA Music Festival, taking place at Dodger Stadium on June 25.

Viva! LA Music Festival Has a Mission of Building Community & Representation

Produced by Goldenvoice, who also host Coachella and Stagecoach, the Los Angeles event is a spinoff of the Pomona-based Viva! Festival, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

Rene Contreras originally created Viva! a decade ago. Above all, he wanted to bring resources to his hometown in Southern California via backyard shows and gigs at local spots. “Viva! goes beyond just a music festival. It has a strong mission of building community and representation; which has led to its cult following that started in L.A. and has since gone global,” according to a press release. Additionally, “The fest celebrates those often overshadowed immigrants, the youth of color, the underserved, the working class in the suburbs; various marginalized communities and artists that have long been pushed out of the larger anglo music arena.”

Other Performers + Ticket Information

In addition, other performers on Viva! Los Angeles’ lineup include Tainy, Cuco, Carin Leon, Carla Morrison, The Marías, Omar Apollo, Paquita La Del Barrio, A.B Quintanilla & The Cumbia All Starz, Caballo Dorado, Ivy Queen, Ed Maverick, Cazzu, La Sonora Dinamita, Lido Pimienta, Eslabón Armado, and more.

Tickets for the festival are on sale now. However, there are a number of ticket tiers available, including GA, GA+, VIP, and VIP+, with payment plans available. Additionally, according to Viva! LA’s website, they will be unveiling this year’s list of food vendors closer to the event’s start date. Also, official set times for each of the performers.

Additionally, the festival will donate $1 of every ticket sold to the Los Angeles-based nonprofit No Us Without You LA; which is committed to feeding L.A.’s undocumented immigrant communities. Launched in the pandemic, in other words, the volunteer-run organization now provides support to “hundreds of food insecure hospitality; day laborers, street vendors, and mariachi families.”
