Europe’s biggest country music festival, Country to Country (C2C), is returning to UK shores on March 11-13 next year.
The Festival Suffered a Two-Year Break
The festival’s return is certainly a sign of celebration. It suffered a two-year break as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The festival enters its eighth year of commemoration. Events will take place at the O2 Arena London, 3Arena Dublin, and The SSE Hydro in Glasgow. The long-awaited announcement of the return of the festival has been led to further excitement. Why? Because the amazing headliners for the three-day festival were announced as well.
Next year’s festival headliners include country superstar Miranda Lambert alongside Luke Combs and Darius Rucker. Also performing are multiple CMA award winners and nominees Ashley McBryde, Runaway June, and Hailey Whitters.
In addition to the headline event, the C2C spotlight stage returns to London and Glasgow. Here, they will feature artists Tenille Townes and Callista Clark. The spotlight stage highlights some of the brightest new artists in between the main acts, providing European fans the opportunity to enjoy the latest up-and-coming artists from the US. Previous performances from the spotlight stage have included Caylee Hammack, Gabby Barrett, and Maren Morris.
BBC Radio is Country to Country’s Official Broadcast Partner
BBC Radio 2 will be the official broadcast partner for C2C 2021 with resident country broadcaster ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris OBE saying “I am so proud to be part of the C2C family and have watched the festival grow to become one of the most important and iconic events in the global Country Music calendar. I can’t wait to listen to the best music in the world, enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of the main auditorium, catch the excitement of the pop-up stages and meet the incredible Country fans that make C2C so special.”
“C2C Festival 2022 will continue to build on the massive success and impact of Country to Country in the UK and Ireland,” says Chris York, C2C festival co-founder. “We look forward to welcoming back all our passionate country fans in March 2022 once again. We would like to thank our partners at BBC Radio 2 and the Country Music Association and as ever, thank you for your support.”
