Caroline Polachek, American indie pop artist, has just recently released her latest single, “Blood and Butter,” in anticipation of her upcoming album, Desire, I Want to Turn Into You.

Singer-songwriter Caroline Polachek is making waves in many different forms. Her newest single, “Blood and Butter,” is ethereal. With eerie vocals and a sound that is pop, but also a little off-kilter and uncanny, Polachek impresses listeners once again. Her range in music is clear simply from the last few singles she has released. “Sunset,” which came out in October of 2022, took inspirations from both flamenco and rumba music. On the flip side, “Welcome to My Island,” which came out in December of 2022, had an almost discotheque vibe to it.
Caroline Polachek’s aesthetic for this album seems to give off both an earthy and an animalistic vibe. Her vocal range is reminiscent of Florence Welch, lead vocalist of the folk pop band Florence + The Machine.
