Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris are songwriters and musicians whose love is now being broadcast on a new level. “We have written a lot of songs together, and for each other, but this was the first time we really stepped out in this way.” Hurd explained about their sudden debut as a duet on CBS This Morning, February 12.

Their own love story began in 2013 as songwriters working hard in Nashville, Tennessee. The first song they worked on together, “Last Turn Home,” was recorded by Tim McGraw.
After that initial writing session, the country pairing kept working together. Even if they had never topped Tim McGraw singing their song, they found each other. Luckily, eight years later, Hurd and Morris have stellar careers of their own. Now, they have one together, as well.
“Chasing After You” is a country pop song that doesn’t document the actual history of Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris’ relationship. It’s similar to it, though, because it has to do with the timing of their love. Although their connection began in 2013, it wasn’t until a couple years later that their love was cemented on both sides.
