“Queen Space” with Summer Walker
Last week, R&B/Soul singer Ari Lennox blessed us with her new single “Queen Space” with Summer Walker. “Queen Space” marks the second collaboration from the duo. In 2021, Summer Walker released their highly anticipated third studio album Still Over It, including the track “Unloyal” with Lennox. The soul ballad became a fan favorite off the vulnerable and melancholy R&B project. “Unloyal” is reminiscent of old school R&B with influence from the late Amy Winehouse, and people were left longing for more from the duo.
In detail, “Queen Space” is about knowing your worth and demanding your lover to meet your needs. Lennox gives her lover an ultimatum; either treat her right or vanish. “I told you to be here/Come correct or disappear.” The R&B singer doesn’t want anyone to disturb her queen energy and take her for granted. “I deserve something purer/My love is a privilege.” The “Whipped Cream” singer knows what she can offer in a relationship, and she deserves genuine love in return.

Similarly, in the second verse Summer Walker feels conflicted in their relationship and wants to see more effort from their partner. Walker is unsure how their lover feels and wants them to communicate open and honestly with them.
