Bethany Joy Lenz of American drama television series One Tree Hill has dropped a new single, “Strawberries.”
Bethany Joy Lenz Has Sweeter “Strawberries”
Actress Bethany Joy Lenz has released a fun, relatable song—“Strawberries.” Lenz is most known for her role as Haley James Scott in the American teen drama television series One Tree Hill. She’s always had a taste for music, but now seems to be the time she’s truly exploring and embracing it.
“Strawberries” expresses insecurities that many women experience. Despite the more negative feelings of those insecurities, the instrumentals and overall vibe of the song are very comforting.
According to JP Mangalindan at People Magazine, “Strawberries” is going to be the first of many releases in the coming months. Fans can certainly look forward to more Bethany Joy Lenz soon.
In the meantime, Lenz has been putting herself out there in the musical world. A year ago, she moved to Nashville, one of the biggest U.S. music hubs, to encourage her musical creativity. Additionally, she’s working on a memoir. She also just launched her new project: Modern Vintage News. Modern Vintage is an old-school, physical newspaper with empowering, creative, provocative focuses. It’s going to be a step away from “digital noise.”
The Story Behind the Song
In an interview with People Magazine, Bethany Joy Lenz explained why she loved “Strawberries.”
“I think that’s why I love the song, because I feel like it’s relatable. As women, I feel like we often sit in this place of comparison, and I wanted to play with the juxtaposition of the jealousy and comparison that we feel, but also how we find our sense of confidence if we don’t compare, if we can all just enjoy each other. The song felt like just a fun, playful way to address those insecurities, but also come out on top with some confidence and laughter about it.”
