Savannah Ré Returns With “24hrs”

Savannah Ré is back with her first single of the year, “24hrs.” It also marks her first song since the release of her debut EP, Opia.

“24hrs” Marks Savannah’s First Single Since Opia

Eight months after the release of her debut EP, Opia, the Canadian breakout artist is back with a new single. “24hrs” is a relaxing track where she expresses her love for her partner. “Love you every way, loving you more with evеry day. Lost then I found, baby, it’s you. Twenty-four/24, twenty-four/24, twеnty-four/24 hours, baby. It’s enough of you,” she sings.

Ré uses her husband and frequent collaborator YogiTheProducer as the song’s muse and genius behind the guitar-driven backdrop. The stylings of the instruments, along with the backing vocals are reminiscent of the soul songs of the 2000s but with a modern twist.

“This song kind of came about naturally being in this pandemic,” Savannah said of the single. “I’ve seen so much about relationships being strained and coming to an end. Because really, you’re never forced to be in a house 24/7 with your spouse or significant other.”

“However, I haven’t seen much about the positives of this,” she continued. “I feel like my relationship has gotten nothing but stronger. It almost is like I wish 24 hours was longer just to have more time with my significant other.”

On June 6, Savannah captured the Juno Award for Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year with “Solid,” which appeared on her debut EP Opia. She is the first-ever Canadian artist to receive the award. Last week, she was named a 2021 Prism Prize finalist for her “Opia – Experience” music video.

Savannah is signed to Universal Music Canada and Polydor in the UK. Her remarkable debut project is a testament to her dedication to her craft earning her millions of streams, international press coverage, and several playlist cover placements with Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. As well, four massive billboards in Toronto’s Yonge & Dundas Square.
