Taylor Swift Celebrates 13th GRAMMY Win With Brand New Album, “The Tortured Poets Department”

In a shocking turn of events, music mastermind Taylor Swift dropped the bomb that she’s releasing a brand new album later this year at the 66th GRAMMYs.

Swiftie’s GRAMMYs Easter Eggs

From the moment she stepped onto the red carpet, Taylor Swift had the internet ablaze with rumors and speculations. Donning an all-white gown paired with arm-length black gloves and a clock choker set to midnight, the singer was already hard at work without uttering a word. Additionally, excitement multiplied when the Academy confessed that there was a secret coming at the end of the night from a major artist. “They are an absolute icon. I think jaws will drop to the floor. People will be on their feet. The only condition they gave is that it was a surprise,” teased a GRAMMYs executive producer.

To add on, Taylor also un-archived a post from November of 2017 announcing, “3 days until #reputation.” This, paired with a new black and white profile picture across her socials, set fans in a frenzy all night long. And the cherry on top? The official Taylor Swift website was flashing a pseudo-error code with the word “red herring” scrambled as a message. All signs pointed to Reputation (Taylor’s Version) finally being released after months of Easter eggs and code deciphering. And yet, Taylor got away with yet another one of her brilliant schemes.

Whilst onstage accepting her 13th GRAMMY, Taylor went on to announce a BRAND NEW album, coming out April 19th.

“I wanna say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years… which is that my brand new album comes out April 19th. It’s called ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’ I’m gonna go and post the cover right now backstage… thank you, I love you!”

And alas, the Easter eggs all made sense. The black-and-white aesthetic no longer belongs to only Reputation, but now to The Tortured Poets Department as well. Yet again, Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is put on the back burner. Looks like Taylor Swift still had some tricks up her sleeve… or in this case, her velvet gloves.
