The members of 5 Seconds of Summer have a big month ahead of them. Their new album 5SOS5 is coming out extremely soon (September 23), and of course, they wanted to commemorate the big achievement by doing something special for their fans.
5 Seconds of Summer Go Back to Their Roots
On September 22 – just one day before the album’s release – the band will play a global live stream –The Feeling of Falling Upwards- from the world-famous Royal Albert Hall in London. In it, they will play songs from the new album, plus fan-favorite songs that they have created in their 11-year music career.
To make the event extra special, 5 Seconds of Summer will be accompanied by an orchestra and choir. This will be the first time they play at the iconic venue. Nevertheless, they are no strangers to that location in London.
“This will be a show like nothing we have ever done before,” the band wrote on their Instagram account. “What’s so special is we actually busked just outside the Royal Albert Hall back in 2013 to a few ‘day one’ fans! To now play a show there, at one of the most iconic venues in the world is a really unique moment and one we felt was the perfect way to commemorate the new album.”
Fans Will Have Flexibility to Watch the Live stream
The fully-live performance will take place worldwide at 8.30 pm London-time (BST). The show will have a rebroadcast three times at 8:30 pm ET, 8:30 pm PT, and Friday, September 23rd at 8:30 pm AEST so fans around the world can watch when it’s more convenient for them or just have fun rewatching it. Following that, the show will be available to watch On Demand through Monday, September 26th at 2 pm BST.
Tickets, which are on sale now via Dreamstage, grant access to the live stream, all r-broadcasts, and the three-day On Demand viewing period.
