Foo Fighters Announce Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts

Foo Fighters and the Hawkins family will put on two Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts this September.

The Foo Fighters Partner with the Hawkins Family

The Foo Fighters are an American rock band with noteworthy hits like “Everlong” and “All My Life.” They have given listeners the best of themselves for almost 30 years. On March 25^th, Taylor Hawkins, their drummer, bandmate, and friend, unexpectedly passed away at age 50. Since then, the band canceled all their 2022 tour dates to grieve the loss.

However, in honor of Taylor Hawkins, the band recently announced their Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts. Set for this September, the band will play two concerts, the first in London on the 3^rd, and the second in Los Angeles on the 27^th. According to the Foo Fighters’ website, the band, Hawkins family, and Hawkins’ music inspirations will perform songs that Hawkins “fell in love with, and the ones he brought to life.” Tickets for the concerts will go on sale starting June 17^th. More information about the tickets and lineup for the concerts will be released soon on the band’s official website.

In Honor of Taylor Hawkins

Taylor Hawkins joined the Foo Fighters in 1997. According to Victoria Albert from CBS News, he made his recorded debut in 1999 on the band’s third studio album There Is Nothing Left To Lose. He then proceeded to perform on every subsequent Foo Fighters album, even singing on a few of them. Hawkins was a 15-time Grammy winner and a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The news of his death saddened music lovers across the world.

When the tribute concerts were announced, Hawkins’ wife, Alison, released a statement of thanks and gratitude for the Foo Fighters and the fans who have loved Hawkins during his life and who have mourned him in his death.
