The CMT Awards will be hosted by country pop-singer Kelsea Ballerini and acclaimed actor Anthony Mackie. The yearly fan-voted event has been pushed back to a week after the Grammys so fans are excited! For Ballerini she expresses her excitement in a recent press release:
“I’m thrilled to be returning as host at this year’s CMT Awards with Anthony Mackie! This award show is always a special one, as it revolves around the fans and celebrates their favorite artists.” She continues “This year is especially cool to be a part of as CMT grows into a network spot… “ Finally ending with: “It’s going to be a big one and I can’t wait!”
Her co-host, Mackie has also stated his enjoyment in being part of the awards the previous year and coming back. “I had the pleasure of presenting at last year’s CMT Awards…” Going on to state that the community, both Nashville and Country Music, welcomed him with open arms. “I can’t wait to get back to Music City to co-host this year’s awards with the amazing Kelsea Ballerini.”
